Karin's inspiration comes from an interest in history, tribal art, people, different cultures, books and her observations in life.

 Karin's aim is to bring stories to life on canvas and to pass on the enjoyment and passion that art gives her.

By using bright colours, dramatic movement and elaborate compositions including 3D collage she has achieved her own style.

The art collections are available for sale. The prices range from £50.00 - £2500.00

Karin welcomes clients to view and/ or purchase artwork at The Lighthouse Art Gallery in  West London.

Alternatively, Karin will send paintings to interested clients in the UK, Europe and the USA.

Karin van der Plas was born in The Netherlands.

She lived in New Zealand and Australia where she was  inspired by Maori and Aboriginal art.

This mostly self taught artist now lives and works in London UK and is the youngest member of the Contemporary Folk Art Collective Wild Old Women (WOW)
